Mayan Gods, a Revenge

Just a tribute to my current obsession with Maya culture. Actually, this was inspired by the movie Apocalypto, as you can see from the mask of the first god, and from a statement found on the Encarta (miss it) page about Maya culture about the fact that, at the end of a future time cycle, the gods will come back on earth in order to punish the foreign invaders who had destroyed the Mayan world, using their beheaded bodies as if they were brushes, to paint with their blood the walls of their divine residence.
Is it true? However, I found in artistically interesting and tried to draw it like it appeared in my mind while reading that statement, with all the cultural and historical mistakes. I mean, imagination can't stand references XD
